Sarah Ramsey born on February 5, 1939, and Kenneth Ramsey born in 1935 were horse breeders and owners of Thoroughbred racehorses.

They are natives of Artemus Kentucky near Barbourville.

They multiple have graded stakes winners, three Breeders Cup winners and the Ramsey’s themselves won multiple Eclipse Awards for outstanding owner and breeder.

Sarah and Kenneth own Ramsey Farm a 1,200 horse breeding operation in Nicholasville, Kentucky and have raced horses at tracks throughout the United States.

Their racehorses have names incorporating the word Kitten.

They bought a herd of their own mares to breed and raced the progeny themselves with considerable success, punctuated by Kenneth Ramsey personally leading most of their races.

Sarah Ramsey, along with her husband Ken bred and raced multiple Breeders Cup champions and won a leading 510 races at Churchill Downs.

According to Churchill spokesman Darren Rogers, Sarah Ramsey died Sunday at her home in Nicholasville, Kentucky.

Sarah was 83 years. Darren was informed by Ken Ramsey. There was No cause of death provided.
